SHIKARPUR, Oct 5: A girl was shot dead by a relative in the Garhi Yasin area on Sunday.

Hasina, daughter of late Ghulam Qadir Jakhro, rtesident of Shahan Jakhro village, was going to her paddy fields. Seengar Ali Jakhro intercepted her at Khirthar Canal inspection path and shot her dead.

According to local people, Seengar Jakhro had stolen a buffalo of Hasina Jakhro a few days ago and had promised to return the same after taking ransom from her. But he did not hand over the buffalo and Hasina kept on insisting him to return her buffalo. Due to this dispute, Seengar killed Hasina, according to the villagers.

No FIR was registered till the filing of this report.

CONDEMNATION: PPP MNA Aftab Shaban Mirani has condemned the suicide attack on ANP chief Asfandyar Wali.

Talking to journalists here on Sunday, he termed the suicide bombing as an act against the solidarity of the country.

He said that the present democratic government was determined to crush terrorists and criminal activities to ensure the peace and provide legal protection of life and property to the people in the country.

Mirani said that the war against terrorism would continue till the country was freed from threat of terrorism.

To a question Mr Mirani declared the first official visit of America by the President Asif Ali Zardari successful and expressed happiness on the formation of the Friends of Pakistan Forum at international level with the support of 14 developed countries.
