MIRPURKHAS, Sept 29: A large number of people belonging to Meghwar community who held a rally on Monday accused a local leader of Pakistan People’s Party of occupying their houses after ejecting them by force in the Kasbo village of Nagarparkar taluka.

The protestors led by Ramchand, Mohan and Jeevat alleged that a local PPP leader accompanied by armed men forced into the houses of Pirbhu, Bhanu and Geno Meghwar in the village, who the inmates including women and illegally occupied their houses after ousting the families.

They said that they believed the investigation into the incident could not be transparent because the investigation officer of the case was a relative of the accused PPP leader.

MINISTER: PPP MNA Nawab Mohammad Yusuf Talpur and Sindh Minister for Low-Cost Housing Syed Ali Mardan Shah said on Monday that terrorists were enemies of Islam and country who wanted to weaken the country.

Speaking at a ceremony for distribution of Mora scholarship cheques at the Boys’ Degree College Umerkot they said that the country was experiencing the worst law and order situation and the government needed time to rectify the problems of the past.

They issued orders to get vacated the degree college playground, which had encroached upon by land-grabbers.

MPA Nawab Taimur Talpur, Ghulam Akbar Dars, Deputy Director of Colleges Mir Hassan Sarewal, Allah Bachayo Aseer, Syed Ghulam Rasool Shah and Abdul Qayoom Kunbhar also spoke at the ceremony.
