THATTA, Sept 27: Former MPA and Pakistan People’s Party leader Ghulam Qadir Palijo has filed a defamation suit of Rs100 million in the court of senior civil judge against the owner of Sindh TV channel, Abdul Karim Rajpar, Thatta District Nazim Syed Shafqat Hussain Shah Shirazi, chief executive of Daily Hilal-i-Pakistan Karachi, Ayaz Hussain Shah Shirazi, editor Iqbal Dal, district reporter of Sindh TV, Ghulam Hussain Khwaja and others.

Mr Palijo alleged in the suit that these organisations had launched media trial of him and his daughter Sindh Minister for Culture Sassui Palijo due to political rivalry and after his refusal to pay them money.

The EDO of revenue, DDO and mukhtiarkar had confirmed that the land in question belonged to Ghulam Qadir Palijo and was located in Deh Nareja, while Makli graveyard was located in Deh Makli, he argued.
