Labourer dies as roof caves in

LAHORE, Sept 19: A labourer died while three others were injured when the roof of an under-construction building collapsed in Manawan on Friday.

Four labourers got trapped under the debris when the roof caved in. Ambulances of Rescue 1122 reached the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital where 40-year-old Mushtaq succumbed to his wounds. Two others were stated to be in critical condition.

FOUND DEAD: A man was found dead in a flat on Lytton Road on Friday.

Muhammad Ali informed the police that he found his brother Javed Ahmed dead in the washroom of his flat. He claimed that there were torture marks on the body. The body was later sent for an autopsy. — Staff Reporter
