PESHAWAR, May 8: The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (Fazal group) has decided to organise protest rallies all over the province on May 10, against raids on seminaries being jointly conducted by the US commandos and Pakistani troops in tribal agencies.

According to a statement, issued by JUI provincial information secretary Jalil Jan, the JUI branches would hold protest meetings on Friday to denounce the raid-and-search operations being jointly conducted by the American and Pakistani troops.

JUI provincial chief Maulana Amanullah and general secretary Maulana Gul Naseeb condemned the desecration of religious schools in the tribal areas and warned them (the troops) to move out of Waziristan.

They said that JUI central executive committees had advised all district-level party organisations to hold anti-US rallies at their respective districts.
