Shahid, Tariq stand out

KARACHI, Sept 16: Shahid Hussain’s marvellous batting and Tariq Murad’s fine bowling enabled NIB Bank to outclass Inbox Cricket Club by 88 runs in the AKU Twenty20 Ramazan cricket tournament at the AKU Ground on Monday.

Shahid slammed an enterprising 83 off 40 deliveries with five boundaries and five sixes as NIB Bank, batting first, amassed 212 for seven in the stipulated 20 overs. Tariq scored 18 runs besides capturing three wickets for 19 in an excellent spell of spin.

Inbox CC, in reply, were restricted to 124 for nine in their 20 overs. Tayyeb gave excellent support to Tariq with three wickets for 19.
