KOHAT, Sept 16: Six security personnel were injured, three of them critically, in a remote-control bomb attack on a convoy in Darra Adamkhel on Tuesday.

Official sources said the convoy was on a routine patrol in the Zor Kalay area when a roadside bomb planted by militants exploded, injuring the six security men and damaging the vehicle.

The injured, including Havaldar Riaz, Naik Noor Afzal, Lance Naik Mumtaz and sepoys Musa Jan and Gul Manshah, were taken to the CMH, Kohat.

The security forces retaliated and used heavy artillery fire, attacking hideouts of militants in various parts of Darra Adamkhel.

The army used artillery fire from the Kohat side and the Milwat area of Khyber Agency the whole Monday night. As a result, many houses were destroyed, but there was no report of casualties.
