SANGHAR, Sept 16: A landlord foiled a bid to kidnap him in Ward No. 16, here on Monday night.

Reports said that four people entered the house of landlord Suleman Khaskheli in Ward No. 16 on Monday night when he was asleep. They woke up him and forced him to go with them at gun point. However, Suleman offered resistance and grappled with the kidnappers while his wife managed to escape. The woman came out on the street shouting for help and also knocked neighbours’ doors.

The kidnappers got panicked and escaped leaving their car outside the house. Sanghar police have recovered a cellphone from the place of the incident and investigating the case.

ELECTROCUTED: A married woman was electrocuted when an 11kv electric wire fell on her in Mir Ghulam Shah village near Shahpur Chakar, on Monday.

Ms Pari, wife of Wahid Dino Rajar, was plucking cotton in the field when the high tension wire fell upon her. The woman died on the spot.
