Asif stars in KG event

KARACHI, Sept 15: Skipper Asif Siddiqui produced a sterling all-round show as Dubai Islamic Bank beat Sindh Police by 71 runs in the 23rd Karachi Gymkhana Twenty20 Ramazan cricket tournament at the KG Ground on Monday.

Usman Farhat and Asif gave Dubai Islamic a flying start by putting on 92 runs for the first wicket in ten overs. Usman hit 59 off 40 balls and Asif Siddiqui contributed 43 to help Dubai Islamic post 174 for six in 20 overs.

Sindh Police, in reply, were bundled out for 103 in 19.3 overs. Off-spinner Ahmer Farooqi captured four wickets for 25.
