HYDERABAD, Sept 13: Project Director Hyderabad Development Package Syed Sarfaraz Ali Shah in his letter addressed to Zila Nazim Hyderabad here on Saturday denied that Sheedi Goth Pumping Station and related sewer lines were not functioning properly and said that this system was designed by consultants to meet disposal requirements of up to 20 years and thus running it at full designed capacity does not arise at this stage.

Clarifying reports published in a section of press about dissatisfactory performance of the system, he said that the working of the sewers was quite satisfactory and up to the mark which could be gauged from the fact that there were no signs of rain water on streets after heavy downpour on August 2 and 12.

However, Project Director Hyderabad Development Package said that only Sindhi Muslim Cooperative Society did not get the benefit of this system because of dumping of silt in the manholes in side boundary wall by the inhabitants.
