Skipper Hasan smashes 124 for Karachi

KARACHI, Sept 12: Skipper Hasan Mahmood smashed fighting hundred as Karachi Blues scored 307 all out in their first innings on the opening day of their three-day PCB Inter-region Under-19 cricket tournament match at the PCB Academy Ground here on Friday.

Right-handed Hasan hammered 20 boundaries and one six in his 124. He faced 127 deliveries and remained at the crease for 150 minutes.

Karachi Blues were in totters at 122 for seven after sent in to bat first by Lahore as paceman Tehzeeb Raza took four wickets for 84 runs.

Hasan along with Shahzaib Khan put on 119 runs for the eighth wicket. Shahzaib’s knock of 39 was spiced with seven fours and one six.

At the top, Ammar Hasan cracked a fine knock of 47 with eight hits to the boundary.

Lahore, at close of play, scored nine runs in three overs for the loss of no wicket.
