BADIN, Sept 8: Pakistan Railways Chief Engineer Amjad Pervez has said that work is in progress to restore Badin-Hyderabad railway section at a cost of Rs150 million and people of Badin would soon hear a good news in this regard.

Talking to journalists at Badin railway station on Monday, Mr Pervez said that initially a single train service per day would be started from Badin to Hyderabad, adding more trains would be plied with the increase in the number of passengers.

Pakistan Railways Divisional Engineer Mir Mohammad Khaskheli who was also present on the occasion, said that the pace of work on the track had been slow owing to shortage of funds. Now it has gained momentum due to approval of funds and the work would be completed within the stipulated time.

He also called upon the people to commute through trains and make this project successful.
