Woman beaten, her house burnt

SAHIWAL, Sept 6: Four men beat up a woman and set fire to her house in 67/4-R village, Noor Shah, over a land dispute.

Sardaran had a land dispute with Jafar. On Saturday, Jafar and his accomplices beat her up and burnt her house.

Noor Shah police have registered a case against the accused.

BOOKED: Ghala Mandi police booked a man after a cheque signed by him bounced. Muhammad Riaz gave a Rs245,000 cheque to Sabir Ali, but the cheque bounced. As a result, Ali got registered a case against Riaz.

SNATCHING: Two armed men intercepted Sarfraz Bhatti, his son and daughter-in-law and snatched from them eight tolas of gold in Iqbal Town police precinct.

Three gunmen relieved Ashraf of Rs11,600 cash and a hearing-aid in the jurisdiction of Ichhra police station .Dilawar Ali was deprived of Rs1,600 cash, a cell phone and a gold chain in Islampura area. —Correspondent
