HYDERABAD, Sept 5: District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil has directed the officials of the district government and members of the district development and works and services committees to complete development schemes, which are near completion, without any delay.

He was speaking at a meeting at his secretariat which reviewed the progress of the ongoing development works.

The district nazim was given briefing by the officers concerned about the progress of various schemes.

The meeting specially took stock of the development of Hali Road, Badin bus stop, lining of nullah on Autobhan road, flyovers and Rani Bagh.

Mr Jamil said that in order to complete the renovation work in Rani Bagh before Eidul Fitr, the plantation work should be divided and completed as soon as possible. He appointed retired forest officer Dr Abid as focal person to supervise the plantation work.

In order to change the environment of the zoo, Mr Jamil said that big and small trees should be planted and gardeners should be appointed to look after the plants. He said water should be released in the zoo lake and swings should be installed in Rani Bagh for the children.

He said usually great rush was witnessed in Rani Bagh on the occasion of Eid, therefore, the district health department should also set up a medical camp there and the district police should make foolproof security arrangements on Eid day.
