SHIKARPUR, Sept 3: A group of armed dacoits looted five cellphones, a laptop computer, and cash from employees of a mobile company on Lakhi-Naudero road near the railway crossing No.2 in the limits of Lakhi police on Tuesday night.

The victims were going to Sukkur from Larkana.

In another incident, three bandits snatched a motorcycle from Irshad Ahmed Sangri when he was going to his Habib Sangri village from Dakhan in the jurisdiction of Dakhan police station on Tuesday night.

The dacoits opened fire at the motorcyclist and injured him when he offered resistance. The injured was shifted to Larkana hospital in critical condition.

Meanwhile, two suspected dacoits were arrested by Lakhi and Gaheja police in two separate ‘encounters’ on Tuesday night.

According to police, Ali Jan Teghani was arrested on Bagarji-Jhali Kalwari link road after an encounter with Lakhi police.

He was waiting with his gang members to commit some offence, said police. His accomplices fled from the scene.
