KARACHI, Sept 3: An arms dealer was arrested in Lucky Star locality of Saddar on Wednesday.

The suspect, identified as Mohammad Majeed, was picked by the CID police. Following initial interrogation with the suspect, the CID police recovered two AK-47 rifles with 500 rounds, seven repeater guns with 450 rounds and five pistols with 200 live cartridges.

SP Aslam Khan said: “He sells arms and ammunition to unknown customers without asking for their motive to acquire the same. We are trying to ascertain information about his customers,” the SP said, adding that he did not seem to have links with any political or jihadi outfit. —Staff Reporter
