HYDERABAD, May 7: The Centre for Rural Development and Communication, University of Sindh, is organizing a lecture on Thursday at the varsity campus.

Professor Aijaz Ahmed Qureshi, Regional General Manager National Rural Support Programme (NRSP), will speak on ‘Millennium Development Goals and Poverty Alleviation’.

EXAMS: The Controller of Examinations, University of Sindh, has notified the schedule for the first and second semester examinations for all departments and institutes of the university.

The first and second semester examinations will be conducted in two shifts. The second semester papers for the academic session 2001 will be held in the morning shift, while the first semester exams for the year 2002 (new batch) will take part in the second shift.

The examinations will commence from May 18, while the last date for submission of forms has been fixed as May 10.

SPECIAL EXAMS: The director, IBA University of Sindh Jamshoro, has announced that the special examinations for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th semester (fall and winter session) MBA (evening) programme for the year 1999-2000, which was scheduled from May 8, has been postponed and re-scheduled from May 14.

ADDITIONAL CHARGE: Professor Rafique Ahmed Soomro, Dean faculty of Community Medicine and Public Health Sciences, has been assigned the additional charge of Dean Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences by the vice-chancellor Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro, vis Professor Allah Bux Qureshi who has retired on April 21.
