Punjab reclaims President House

MURREE, Aug 20: The Punjab government has taken back the control of President House and declared it Government House.

In 2001 it was declared State Guest House and in 2002 it was declared President House.

This luxurious president House comprising 54 kenals of land in the prime location of Kashmir Point Murree remained in the use of former president Pervez Musharraf for six years.

The staff of this house was transferred from Punjab to centre.

Today Punjab Government’s officials including DCO Rawalpindi Jamal Mustafa Syed, CPO Rao Mohammad Iqbal, ASP Murree Doctor Atif and others were present on the occasion. Today a ceremony was held in the honor of the students of various educational boards who secured positions in HSSC and SSC examinations, in the green courtyard of the Government House.—Correspondent
