KARACHI: Sindh PA meets tomorrow

KARACHI, Aug 20: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad has summoned the Sindh Assembly to meet in a special session on Friday at 9am in the assembly’s hall, according to a handout.

The PPP parliamentary party leader in the house, Pir Mazharul Haq, has called a meeting of the PPP parliamentary party at 8am in the chamber of the chief minister to decide the party’s strategy for the session.

Leader of the opposition in the Sindh Assembly Jam Madad Ali told Dawn on Wednesday that he was yet to receive the agenda for the session.

He said that according to his information, the PPP would move a resolution to deliberate upon the Sindh Local Government Ordinance (SLGO) 2001 and the Police Order 2002. He said the PPP had reservations over certain provisions of the ordinances.
