ISLAMABAD, Oct 24: The Supreme Court will not grant bail to any person booked for acts of terrorism and hooliganism.

This was stated by Chief Justice Irshad Hasan Khan on Wednesday while declining to grant bail to Fayyaz Ali alias Faizi, who, accompanied by some of his friends, had opened fire to disrupt balloting at a women police station in Gujranwala during recent local bodies elections. As a result, one armyman, Lance Naik Saifullah, had been injured.

Bail was granted to other accused on Wednesday but not to Fayyaz Ali.

Justice Allah Nawaz (retired) appeared for the appellant. The court observed that no leniency could be shown to those who were involved in acts of terrorism and hooliganism.
