PESHAWAR, Aug 15: Two persons, including a woman, were shot dead while body of an unidentified youth was found here on Friday.

Police said a woman identified as Maveza was allegedly killed by his husband, Qmanadan, in Badbher area for eloping with another man. In another incident in the same area, a youth Abdur Rehman was allegedly shot dead and his brother Rahat Gul critically injured by unidentified gunmen.

Meanwhile, body of a youth was found in farms near Chughalpura in the limits of Chamkani police station. Signs of violence were clearly visible on the body, which was sent to hospital for post mortem, according to the police.

WEAPONS RECOVERED: The Motorway police on Friday searched a Mitsubishi Pajero van, which was abandoned on M-1 in Swabi, and recovered from it 15 Kalashnikovs, 8 Kalakoves, forty 30-bore pistols, seven 12-bore guns, 3 SMG guns, 35 magazines and thousands of bullets, a police spokesman said.

The vehicle and weapons were handed over to the local police, but it could not be ascertained as to where the arms were being smuggled. — Bureau Report
