HYDERABAD, Aug 15: Acting on reports of DPO of Hyderabad Ghulam Nabi Memon, District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil has banned fireworks throughout the district under Section 144 of CrPC on the occasion of Shab-i-Barat to maintain law and order in the district.

A notification issued here on Friday stated that the sale, purchase, and possession of any explosive substance would be considered a crime and that no fireworks would be allowed throughout the district.

All SHOs of the district have been directed to register FIRs under Section 188 of PPC for the violation of the ban.

BOY KILLED: A 10-year-old boy Deval Kumar, son of Sodho Odh, was run over by a speedy heavy vehicle near Tando Ghulam Mohammad bus stop in the limits of Husri police station. The child died on the spot.

His body was taken to the civil hospital and later was handed over to his parents.
