Adnan claims cycle race

PESHAWAR, Aug 14: Adnan Khan won the 10-kilometre Independence Day cycle race here on Thursday.

The event was organised by the NWFP Cycling Association in collaboration with the NWFP Sports Board in which more than 80 cyclists participated.

The race, carrying senior and junior categories, started from the Qayyum Sports Complex at 9am and finished at the same place after passing through Ring Road and Hayatabad-Bagh-e-Narran.

Adnan got first position in the seniors’ category followed by Mehmood Ali and Adnan Iftikhar.

While Shujahat Hussain won in the juniors’ category followed by Mohammad Saqib and Mohmamad Faisal.

Seniors’ category comprised under-20 cyclists while the juniors’ category consisted of U-12 cyclists.—APP
