PESHAWAR, Aug 11: A high-level meeting held here on Monday to review the prevailing situation in Swat and Bajaur tribal region, resolved that the military operation in the areas would continue till all the objectives were achieved.

The meeting was presided over by Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani and also attended by Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti and Corps Commander, Peshawar, Lt-Gen Mohammad Masood Aslam, a handout issued here said.

It was also reaffirmed at the meet that no effort would be spared to protect the life and property of the peaceful citizens.

The meeting, however, expressed concern over the loss of public properties at the hands of miscreants in the area.

It was noted with grave concern that destruction of a large number of schools, bridges and health institutions had deprived thousands of innocent children of education and the population at large of healthcare and communication facilities.

The meeting expressed firm determination to defeat the anarchist objectives of the miscreants and restore peace and normalcy in the province.
