PESHAWAR, Aug 9: An aggrieved person Sher Zaman on Friday alleged that his daughter was killed by her husband at Hayatabad on July 27 this year, but police had so far failed to arrest the accused.

Speaking at a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, he said that his son-in-law Akhtar Zaman and his whole family used to torture his daughter Fauzia Zaman and forced her to leave their house.

“They always used to abuse her, beat and torture her, which forced my daughter to live at my residence, but they again sent jirgas to resolve the differences, but the attempts bore no fruits, as they were not sincere,” Mr Sher Zaman said.

The complainant said that his son-in-law one way or the other took his three children to his house and then sent messages to his wife to return without the differences being resolved.
