Three killed, 44 injured on road

SAHIWAL, Aug 7: Three people, including a woman, were killed and 44 others injured when a speeding bus rammed into a parked truck near Kameer on Arifwala Road here on Thursday.

Police said a bus (LOT-7200) was on its way to Faisalabad from Bahawalnagar when it rammed into a parked truck (LXV-4332) near Kameer. As a result, three people identified as Abdul Sattar of Kabula, Ramzan of Chak 2/KB and an unidentified woman were killed on the spot while 44 others sustained injuries.

All the injured were rushed to hospitals of Sahiwal, Arifwala and Kameer where condition of 12 was stated to be serious. Police have registered a case. —APP
