HYDERABAD, Aug 7: Criticising some deposed judges for acceding to the offer of fresh oath, the protesting lawyers termed it a betrayal from the cause and decided to consider them as PCO judges. They lashed them for denting the ongoing struggle.

Lawyers boycotted courts on the call of Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) on Thursday and staged a sit-in outside the Civil Courts Building. They also raised slogans against the Sindh High Court judges whose reinstatement summary was signed by President Musharraf on Wednesday.

The lawyers held a general body presided over by General Secretary, Hyderabad District Bar Association (HDBA), Nisar Durrani. President of the Hyderabad chapter of the Sindh High Court Bar Association Abdul Sattar Kazi, HDBA, Vice-President Abdul Khaliq Leghari, Joint Secretary Ayaz Tunio and others were also present.

In Mirpurkhas, lawyers led by the District Bar President Salahuddin Panhwar boycotted court proceedings to protest against delay in reinstatement of deposed judges.

They held general body and took out a rally. Carrying banners and placards they demanded immediate reinstatement of all deposed judges. They blocked M.A. Jinnah road by staging sit-in.

Mr Panhwar, Syed Aftab Ali Shah, Ghulam Nabi, Sher Mohammad Wassan and Shaukat Ali Rahimoon spoke on the occasion.
