HYDERABAD: Woman seeks protection

HYDERABAD, Aug 4: A woman and her husband, protesting outside the local press club on Monday, demanded of the police to arrest accused of her case still harassing the family. She appealed the Shahdadpur police to provide protection to them. Wife of Mohammad Yaqoob told journalists that accused Noro Hassan, Pir Bux, Bashir Ahmed and seven others, all Khashkhelis by caste and residents of Khudadad Kapr, Shahdadpur taluka, on July 22 tried to kidnap and molest her and fled when she raised an alarm.

A case was lodged at the Shahdadpur police station on her complaint she said alleging that police and some influential people were protecting accused as Noor Hassan and Pir Bux again on August 3 tried to kidnap her and threatened her father of dire consequences. She said she belonged to a very poor family and needed protection from the accused.

She complained against police for not taking action against accused who wanted to implicate the woman, her father, and husband in false case.

She appealed to police authorities to take action against accused and provide her family protection.

She also sought action against delinquent officials of Shahdadpur police station.
