Own goal makes KESC losers

KARACHI, Aug 3: Pak Elektron cashed in on an own goal to defeat Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) 1-0 in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) encounter played at the Peoples Sports Complex on Sunday evening.

KESC, who missed several chances in the first half, finally succeeded in scoring for their opponents in the 79th minute. The mistake was caused by their striker Mohammad Moosa, while accidentally pushing the ball past his own goalkeeper Mohammad Omar when trying to defend for his side.

Monday’s fixtures:

Pakistan Steel v Punjab Medical College at Steel Town Ground at 5.30pm; National Bank of Pakistan v Army at CDGK Stadium at 5.30pm; Habib Bank Limited v Wapda at Peoples Sports Complex at 5.50pm.
