THATTA, Aug 2: Hamid Alwani, husband of Pakistan People’s Party MPA Humera Alwani, has been appointed officer on special duty (OSD) to chief minister Sindh on political affairs at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, according to an official notification issued on Friday.

Hamid, who belongs to Ghorabari taluka of Thatta district, is a grower by profession and is well known for his services as a social worker in the coastal belt of the district. He helps organise free of charge medical camps and create awareness about education in remote villages.—Correspondent
