Bajwat’s seven villages flooded

SIALKOT, July 31: A spate in Tavi inundated seven villages and standing seasonal crops on hundreds of acres in Bajwat on Thursday.

Reports said that the flood water splashed over the banks of river Tavi near Saidpur Pattan, submerging Saidpur, Jhumiyaan, Kaliyaal, Kug and Jhumiyaan Dalaalan villages. The heavy rains in catchments areas have caused the flooding. DCO Capt Atta Muhammad Khan (retired) said the situation was under control.

RELEASED: District and Sessions Judge Suhaib Ahmad Roomi on Thursday visited the central jail and ordered releasing 47 prisoners involved in minor crimes.
