ISLAMABAD, July 28: The sub-committee of Senate Standing Committee on Sports on Monday criticised schools in the posh areas of Islamabad for failing to provide sports grounds to the students.

The meeting, chaired by Senator Enver Baig, reviewed the implementation of Sports Policy.

The committee summoned Capital Development Authority chairman Kamran Lashari in the next meeting to explain as to why these schools in the capital city did not have sports grounds.

Regarding the promotion of sports in educational institutions the sub-committee also summoned Federal Education Minister, Chairman Higher Education Commission, Managing Director Pakistan Television and provincial sports Ministers.
