QUETTA, July 27: The Frontier Corps handed over to police on Sunday the bodies of 12 alleged militants killed in clashes with security forces in the Toba Nokhani area of Dera Bugti.

According to sources, the clashes erupted after three FC personnel were killed in a rocket attack on their positions in Loti gas field.

FC troops returned fire and launched a search operation in the mountainous area of Toba Nokhani where they found the 12 bodies.

“Automatic weapons, motorcycles, wireless sets and other equipment were found in the area,” FC sources said.

They said a camp of militants was destroyed.

The bodies of FC men were sent to their areas.

Boy injured

An eight-year-old boy was seriously injured in an explosion in the Killi Kotwal area here on Sunday.

According to police, the boy found a toy-like object and brought it to his home. It exploded when he was playing with it.

The boy was taken to the civil hospital.
