KOHAT, May 5: With the temperature reaching maximum 40-42 degree Celsius and a dry forecast for the next one week the Wapda announced on Sunday that the electricity supply will remain suspended in Darra sub division, Gumbat sub division and Kohat sub-division during 3.30pm to 8.30pm from May 5 to May 14 due to installation of new feeders making the conditions more unbearable for the people.

In a notification issued in public interest here on Sunday the Xen, Wapda said that five new feeders would be installed on Hangu road, Bannu road and Rawalpindi road to provide new connections to the people and tackle the load problem in these areas.

He said that wherever necessary new transformers would also be installed so that the consumers get actual load of the electricity and the public complaints in this regard were removed.

He said that the timing of the work had been set to avoid trouble to the school children and office-goers and hoped that the work would be completed at the earliest.

It may be recalled that the people of these areas had been demanding the installation of new transformers due to poor electricity load since last September following long and regular power breakdowns.
