PM to meet Nawaz in London

LONDON, July 25: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, who is arriving here on Saturday en-route to Washington, is scheduled to meet former prime minister Nawaz Sharif later in the day.

According to some unconfirmed reports, PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari is part of the 42-strong team accompanying the PM.

Mr Zardari is likely to lead the talks with Nawaz Sharif, which are expected to continue over dinner. PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is expected to assist Mr Sharif in the talks.

The PM’s entourage includes about 20 media personnel and also some family members of Mr Gilani. The PM and his team will leave for the US on Sunday morning.
