QUETTA, July 21: Two people were killed and 11 others, six security personnel among them, were injured in bomb explosions in Dera Bugti and Jaffarabad districts on Monday.

At least 11 people, among them four security personnel, were injured when a bomb was exploded with remote control while a Frontier Corps vehicle was approaching Loti bazaar in Dera Bugti. Two of the injured civilians died in Sui hospital.

In Sohbatpur area of Jaffarabad district, two FC men were injured when their vehicle was blown up in a bomb explosion.

Meanwhile, security forces completed their search operation in Zain Koh area and seized a huge quantity of arms and ammunition.

FC Inspector General Maj-Gen Saleem Nawaz told a TV channel that six FC personnel had been killed and nine others injured in gunbattles. He said the bodies of 18 armed men had been found in the area.

He said the forces had destroyed two camps of the militants, but existence of more camps could not be ruled out.
