BAHAWALPUR, July 18: Deposed chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will preside over an all Pakistan Lawyers’ Convention here on July 26, Bahawalpur High Court Bar Association President Malik Muhammad Aslam Channar told reporters on Friday.

Office-bearers and representatives of all bar associations, including Supreme Court Bar Association President Aitzaz Ahsan, will attend the convention. Mr Channar said all deposed judges would be invited to the convention. He said district and high court bar associations of Bahawalpur would accord a warm welcome to deposed judges and lawyers. Justice Chaudhry will arrive at Bahawalpur from Multan via Shujabad, Jalalpur Peerwala and Lodhran on the evening of July 26.
