KHAIRPUR, July 17: Six principals of colleges in the district, who were in grade-18 but working on senior posts of grade-19, were relieved of their charge on the directives of the Sindh government, sources said on Thursday.

They are principals of Pakistan College Khairpur; Government Degree College, Thari Mirwah; Government College, Bozdar Wada; Government College Karondi; Government Girls College, Ranipur, and Government College for Women, Khairpur.

The director of colleges could not be reached over phone. His secretary Javed Soomro confirmed that some principals had been relieved on the directives of the Sindh government.

Source said that the department had not so far made new appointments to the posts and assigned additional charge of the colleges to the principals of Government Superior Science College, Mumtaz College Khairpur, and Degree College Ranipur. — Correspondent
