Vinod, Seher retain STA rankings

KARACHI, July 16: Vinod Das leads the men’s half yearly Sindh ranking released by the Sindh Tennis Association (STA) the other day.

The ranking is based on five tournaments held under the aegis of the STA during the first six months of the ongoing year.

Vinod, who has accumulated 80 points, has retained the top slot which he grabbed at the fag end of last year.

Abdul Saeed and Robin Das are tied in the second place with 75 points apiece followed by Yasir Khan (70).

Seher Khawaja, a former national hard court champion, has retained ladies ranking with 105 points. She is followed by Eman Malik (80) and Uzma Zakaria (45).

Omer Shahid Maniya top the juniors’ under-17 ranking with a tally of 105 points while Mustafa Zaidi and Talha Zubair enjoy top positions in boys under-15 and boys under-13 categories with 90 and 80 points respectively.
