GHALANAI, July 11: Two employees of an NGO were kidnapped in the Pindialy tehsil of Lower Mohmand on Friday.

An official of the political administration said the employees, Mujahid and Rasheed from the Tangi tehsil of Charsadda, were in Pindialy in connection with some official work when they were kidnapped by some outlaws.

No group has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.

The local Taliban have banned activities of NGOs in the area, accusing them of spreading vulgarity.

Meanwhile, a meeting was held under Mohmand Agency political agent Amjad Ali to discuss the law and order situation in the tribal belt.

Assistant political agents of Ghalanai, Yakaghund and Paizai attended the meeting.
