MANSEHRA, July 10: The administrator of a local seminary was killed and his two married daughters were injured when some people barged into his house in the Labarkot area and opened fire on the family members on Thursday morning.

Officials said over 10 assailants entered the house of Maulana Sultan Room, head of the Janmia Tawheedul Islam, and started indiscriminate firing on the inmates, killing the Maulana on the spot and injuring his daughters Naseeb Jan and Raj Bano. The injured women were taken to hospital.

Police took the body to the District Headquarters Hospital for autopsy and later handed it over to relatives.

The reason behind the killing is said to be a dispute over the marriage of a daughter of the Maulana.
