CHITRAL, July 4: Arrange-ments to hold the Shandur polo festival were reviewed here on Friday at a meeting chaired by district nazim Maghfirat Shah. The two-day annual event would begin from Monday.

Provincial Minister for Population Welfare Salim Khan, MNA from Chitral Shahzada Mohiuddin, Chitral DCO Mutasim Billah Shah, DPO Sher Akbar, representatives of trade unions and other stakeholders attended the meeting.

The DCO Chitral apprised the meeting about the preparations while the DPO briefed the participants about the security arrangements made for the festival.

Speaking on the occasion, the district nazim stressed on the need of coordination between different government departments to make the event a success.—Correspondent
