LAHORE, July 4: Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Dr Nurlan has said that there is a great scope for enhancing economic cooperation between Pakistan and his country.

Speaking during a visit of Kyrgyz business delegation to the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry Zonal Office here on Friday, he said that his country was importing a number of products from Pakistan including textile apparel, cloth, rice, raw hides, skin and leather.

However, he stressed for increasing the volume of bilateral trade through frequent exchange of trade delegations, trade exhibitions and exchange of business information.

He said that the Kyrgyz businessmen were interested in setting up the Pakistan-Kyrgyz Business Council for increasing the volume of imports and exports between the two countries. Kyrgyzstan was exporting sugar and sugar products, pharmaceutical products and miscellaneous edible products to Pakistan.

He said that the Kyrgyz Republic had a very liberal investment policy and was offering a number of incentives to the foreigners. He invited Pakistani businessmen to benefit from investment opportunities in Kyrgyzstan.

FPCCI Zonal Chairman Azhar Saeed Butt assured the delegation of all possible cooperation in the setting up of Pakistan-Kyrgyz Business Council and said that there was a great potential for increasing bilateral trade between the two countries.
