KARACHI, July 2: Davis Cupper and top seed Yasir Khan faced little resistance from international Zuhair Raza in the second semi-final of the men’s singles event of 5th STA Development Series Tennis Championship (Sindh ranking) at Navy Physical Training and Sports Centre, PNS Karsaz here on Wednesday.

Yasir a more experienced player beat Zuhair 6-4, 6-0.

Fraz Ahmed Faiz of Beach View Club convincingly beat NPT & SC player Waleed with 8-5 score in very humid afternoon. The finals of juniors U-17 singles and boys U-15 shall be played on Thursday at 4 pm and closing ceremony shall be held at 5-30 pm.

Men’s singles second semi-final: Yasir Khan bt Syed Zuhair Raza 6-4, 6-0.

Juniors U-17 semi-finals: Omer Shahid bt Bila Sharif 6-3, 6-2; Talha Saeed bt Rahmat Ali 6-3, 6-3.

Quarter-final boys U-15: Adil Kohari bt Uzair Abdul Qadir 6-2, 6-3; Hamza Pataudi bt Mustafa Tariq 1-6, 6-4, 6-3.

Boys U-15 semi- finals: Adil Kohari bt Yahya Essa 7-6, 6-3.

Boys U-13 quarter-final: Fraz A Faiz bt Saad Rasool 8-4.

Boys U-13 semi-final: Fraz A Faiz bt Waleed 8-5.
