RAWALPINDI, July 1: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) here on Tuesday obtained a 10-day physical remand of three suspected terrorists from an anti-terrorism court and got two days extension in the physical custody of two other suspects.

The court granted remand of Abdul Sattar, Farhan Mehmood and Rashid Mehmood to interrogate them for their alleged role in the plan to carry out terrorist activities that were foiled by the law-enforcing agencies in Sadiqabad area a month ago.

The suspects were arrested on June 30 at Rawalpindi on the information extracted from the already arrested persons. Abdul Sattar and Farhan Mehmood have been booked under sections 4, 5 of Explosive Act, 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of Pakistan Penal Code and Section-7 of Anti-Terrorism Act registered with the Sadiqabad police station. While, Rashid Mehmood has been booked on charges of possession of illegal weapons and terrorism.

ATC-II Judge Sakhi Muhammad Kahot also extended physical remand of Intikhab Ahmed Abbasi and Muhammad Kabir for two days. They are also allegedly involved in the plot to carry out terrorist activities in the twin cities. Meanwhile, ATC-I Judge Chaudhry Habibur Rehman put off the hearing in the bail pleas of two suspected terrorists.
