Gujranwalato have FIA court

GUJRANWALA, June 29: Federal Minister for Tribal Areas Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Sunday a special court of the Federal Investigation Agency would be established in the district to dispose of the cases pending against human smugglers.

Speaking at a seminar, the minister claimed that the government was also deliberating on making punishments for human traffickers more stringent.

FIA Additional Director-General Mirza Muhammad Yasin said the Gujranwala passport cell had arrested 441 human smugglers during the first six months of the current year. Cases were registered against three agency officials on the charge of abetting the traffickers and another 13 officials are being interrogated.
