Salim Altaf resumes duty

LAHORE, June 26: Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Director Special Projects and Director Cricket Operations for World Cup-2011 Salim Altaf, rejoined the board on Thursday after his controversial sacking earlier this month.

“I wish to make a new beginning in the PCB with which I have had a 28-year association,” he said while talking to media at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Salim said his preference had always been his institution and he vowed to forget the bitterness caused by the disturbing incident. “I am thankful to Allah, that I am vindicated.
