FAISALABAD, June 26: PML-N candidate and Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and PPP’s Qasim Zia won provincial assembly seats with big margins on Thursday.

Rana Sana obtained 23,070 votes from PP-70 against his rival, Haji Ismail Seela, of PPP who obtained 16,215 votes.

Former opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Qasim Zia won PP-59 (Samundri) by obtaining 33,947 votes and defeated former MNA Amjad Ali Warriach, an independent candidate, who managed 20,370 votes.

In election-related violence, four people sustained injuries when two groups clashed in Samundri over a polling issue. The administration had to suspend the polling process for some time.
