KARACHI, June 24: Local players will be up against each other when the fifth STA development series tennis championships start at the PNS Karsaz courts on Wednesday.
Launched two years back under the aegis of the Sindh Tennis Association (STA), the event carries ranking points instead of the purse. A similar tournament was recently held in Hyderabad.
The events that will take place are men’s singles, ladies’ singles, juniors’ under-17 singles, boys’ under-15 singles, boys’ under-13 singles, boys’ under-11 singles, boys’ under-9 singles and juniors’ under-17 doubles.—Sports Correspondent
