KHANEWAL, June 23: The poisonous food served at a marriage ceremony in Khanewal last Monday has so far claimed lives of five people, including three children.

Reports said many guests fell sick after having food served at the marriage ceremony of daughter of one Muhammad Hussain, a resident of Nizampura locality.

The condition of two of the guests, Naseem Bibi (25) and Sonia Bibi (21), both sisters, turned serious. Later, Sonia died on last Thursday while Naseem succumbed to her illness the next day.

Meanwhile, reports from Multan said three children, who had attended the marriage at Khanewal, also died of food poisoning there.
